In 1964 Đuro Đaković employed 4520 workers. These days Đuro Đaković expands its production program with equipment for oil processing and chemical industry.
"Study as you work course" was established at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of Zagreb in Slavonski Brod. Nowadays it is the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Slavonski Brod. In 1969 Đuro Đaković built 6877 new freight cars, out of which 4243 wagons were exported.
It also produced 153 diesel locomotives, and besides of that also 12 sets of motor trains for narrow gauge railways.
In the same period, Đuro Đaković was engaged in reconstruction of the existing and construction of new sugar factories and new cement factories in inland and abroad.
In 1969 Đuro Đaković became the world largest manufacturer of Steambloc boilers. In that period 60.000 tons of steel structures, mainly bridges were produced and 200.000 tons of our own and foreign steel structure were assembled, out of which 48 bridges in inland and abroad. Within the framework of delivery of complete industrial plants and steel structures, especially Iron Works Skopje, Smederevo, Zenica and Sisak, and significant number of cranes, portal and harbour bridges were realized.
In the same period, new products were acquired, such as:

Diesel electric locomotive 1882 HP in cooperation with General Motors (USA)

Waporax and Thermopac boiler programs in cooperation with Wanson (Belgium)

Joint venture with Teddington Bellows (Great Britain) for production of multilayer pipe bellows.
With signing of contract for construction of NPP Krško - Đuro Đaković joined in construction of nuclear power plants. With company Energoinvest Sarajevo 1976 Đuro Đaković started delivery of components for the primary circle of the nuclear power plants.
In 1977 RO Inženjering for design and production engineering was founded.
From 1970 until 1981 sugar factories in Virovitica and sugar factory Bijeljina were built, and with company Krupp Polysius, cement factories Kosjerić, Beočin and Dalmacijacement and the export projects: cement factory in Alexandria and cement factory in Homs realized. With company Babcock the power plant NEKA Iran, 4 x 440 MW was completed.
In the same period premises of Tvornica kompenzatora ( pipe bellows), production and business premises of Montaža and Elektromont for production of heavy equipment, production capacities for cranes, energy plants, IRC (computer centre) and Institute for scientific research were built.
1980 the renovated building of the former gymnasium was opened for the requirements of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering on the Square of Marshall Tito, nowadays Square of Ivana Brlić Mažuranić.
