Dear shareholders,
In the past few years, Đuro Đaković Holding d.d. and companies in its ownership went through a difficult period of their business activities. Crisis in metal processing industry reflected itself also on Đuro Đaković. In spite of hard times and perplexities in the past year results were achieved which cannot be neglected. It happened also that problems weighting upon Đuro Đaković Holding and its associations for years have now been solved.
Besides decisions of the croatian government we have also benefits from conjuction movement on the croatian as well as world market in the area of engineering and metalwork industry. For the first time, in 2006, group Đuro Đaković finish business with profit. Total turnover that achived companies inside Đuro Đaković group in 2006 is 837.000.000,00 kn, on domestic market 582.000.000,00 kn and abroad 224.000.000,00 kn.
Result of the business of the group for 2006 is profit of 12.800.000,00 kn, preserving stability of the business activities, and number of the employees was around 2.100.
Expectations in the future
During this year we are expecting successfull proceeding of the projects from 2006, as well as beggining of newone like:
- Rail cargo wagons for Croatian railways ( HŽ )
- AMV for Croatian army
- Modernisation of the oil refineries ( production of the components and erection)
- Storage tanks for JANAF
- Energy objects for HEP
- Infrastructure objects for HC
- Production of the components fro windmills
- Developing cogeneration facility for biomass
- Entering into construction engineering
