Croatian defense minister Mr. Branko VUKELIC and the head of joint chiefs of staff, general Josip LUCIC with collaborators visited companies Đuro Đaković Holding d.d. and Đuro Đaković, Specijalna vozila d.d.
During the visit and after work meeting the Frame agreement on integration of remote weaponry stations and other special equipment on the base armored vehicle AMV 8x8 was signed and Strategic Reserve Taking over Agreement for assembly units of battle tank M-84 initialized.
The frame agreement between Ministry of Defense of Republic Croatia and ĐĐ Specijalna vozila d.d. initiates process of BOV final equipment and taking over testing, which implies integration of remotely controlled weaponry and other weaponry systems and special equipment on base armored vehicles AMV 8x8.
For the purpose of maintenance, general revision and re-orientation on special vehicles, Ministry of Defense of Republic of Croatia (MORH) will take over from ĐĐSV part of strategic reserve for M84 battle tank assembly units.
After work meeting minister of defense of Republic of Croatia and the head of the joint chief of staff's of Croatian armed forces toured the factory and the main production premises of ĐĐSV, and attended presentation of domestic program for production of armored vehicle AMV 8x8 and the activities on project of modernization of the battle tank M-84D and tank maintenance for Armed Forces of Republic of Croatia.
With his presence minister also magnified celebration of 88 years of work and existence of the Group Đuro Đaković which was held in Slavonian Restaurant, after walkabout through the factory. Celebration was also attended by the district prefect of Brodsko posavska county Mr. Danijel Marušić and the mayor of Slavonski Brod, Mr. Mirko Duspara.
