January 16, 2009 contracts on long-term argon and oxygen gas supply between the seller - Messer Croatia Plin d.o.o. and the buyers, the largest consumers of technical gases in the Industrial Zone Đuro Đaković, i.e. ĐĐ Montaža d.d., ĐĐ Specijalna vozila d.d. , ĐĐ Proizvodnja opreme d.o.o., V.A.M.-ING d.o.o. and ĐĐ Energetika i infrastuktura (Energy and Infrastructure) d.o.o. were signed.
The consumption of technical gases, especially oxygen, argon and argon mixtures has lately increased in such a way that cylinder transport within Đuro Đaković Industrial Zone became a bottleneck passage. Thereby enormous transport and maintenance costs occur. Due to lack of space within the Industrial Zone itself, it was practically impossible to build up tank farms for every individual buyer.
For these reasons, large users of technical gases and Messer Croatia Plin d.o.o. agreed to build up central distribution system for technical gases in ĐĐ Industrial Zone. The agreement obliges Messer Croatia Plin d.o.o. to install central tanks for argon and oxygen in vicinity of each company and to build pipelines for distribution to each consumer.
Such a solution annuls transportation costs within the ĐĐ Industrial Zone, reducing the price of the media even up to 50% of the present price.
Today's signature is continuation of the current fruitful cooperation of the seller and his customers, and significant step in direction of reduction of raw material costs, having positive effect on business results of individual enterprises located in ĐĐ Industrial Zone.
