Successful business trends in Đuro Đaković strojna obrada d.o.o. in 2006 are continuation of the process of growth and development, which began in 2002, when the company employed 72 workers. In 2006, the company continued with technical and technological modernization with purchase of the most modern equipment for heat treatment, new CNC centre and CNC lathe, machine for cutting of internal gear teeth with diameter 2000 mm and modernization of carrousel. To maintain quality of personnel we decided to give scholarships to secondary school students for the occupation of lathe operators, who after finishing their school got a job with us. As before, the most important orders are connected with the program of production and revision of locomotive bogies. In cooperation with Končar Electric Vehicles and with our own engagement, we revised 60 units of bogies and produced totally 20 new locomotive bogies. Railway program was carried out for the Railways of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic Srpska, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Turkey to be continued with the same intensity in 2007. In relation to previous years, the volume of production of the bogies for Slovenian partner increased, so that more then 400 units of diverse bogies were produced. In 2007, we do expect realization at the level of the previous year. We went on with cooperation and additionally expanded this cooperation in 2005 with company ADAMS, with which orders in the value over 1 million EURO were realized. For these requirements, we engaged also our suppliers on projects with welded constructions. In 2007 order volume reached 1.187.885,00 EUR , part for welded housings and armature diameter up to 3000 mm, and part for machining of smaller casted valve housings. Production and delivery of the first swiveling gear prototypes for wind power plants KONČAR KET Inženjering opened new real potentials in participation on newly opened markets of alternative energy resources. For these purposes prototype of the swivelling gear of the wind power plant and afterwards the first set of gears ( 1 for cupola and 3 for angle alternation of the propeller leaves). Bearings are certified on the part of Germanische Lloyd. After putting into operation of the first windmills, we expect orders for the further sets. In 2007, we plan export to reach 60% of realization volume. With good contracting and the planned investments into equipment management of Đuro Đaković Strojna obrada d.o.o. believes to be able to realize all the set objectives for the year 2007.
